    Hello people, in this blog i will showcase the major attraction places in and around shendi, bhandardara. Shendi village being the best tourist spot in Maharashtra provides rich cultural heritages and prominent attraction spots. From temples to waterfalls to mesmorizing resorts to the wonderful experience of boating It has it all.

    Kalsubai trekking–

    For all the enthusiastic people , Kalsubai is the highest peak of maharashtra and has a beautiful temple of Kalsu Aai located on top . It has a elevation of 1646 m . The trek is to die for proving a magnificent view when reached on top

     

    Umbrella Waterfalls –

    Witness the spectacular waterfalls which, as the name suggests, form the impression of an umbrella. Flowing over the naturally placed rocks, Umbrella Falls originating from Wilson Dam are one of the most rejuvenating tourist places in Bhandardara.

     

    Randha fall –

    Randha waterfall is a popular tourist attraction, which is formed over Pravara River and cascades down from a height of 170 feet into a beautiful gorge. The height of this waterfall is the reason behind the roaring sound of the Randha waterfall. Located just 3 kilometres from the centre of Bhandardara.

     

    Amruteshwar temple-

    This temple falls into village ratangad which is 16 kms from bhandardara . The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be over 1,200 year old. This beautiful stone carved temple was built by the rulers of Shilahara dynasty in 9th century AD. This is one of 12 Shiva temples built by King Jhanj.

     

    ARTHUR LAKE-

    This lake is encompassed by the verdant Sahyadri Hills and other natural topography. It is a natural basin that gets water from the Pravara River flowing in the region. You can visit this place to spend an afternoon enjoying a picnic , boating , outdoor activities and some relaxing time with family.

     

    Firelies festival –

    This is the most beautiful time in Bhandardara, It usually occurs after the first rain i.e may or june . For a period of month fireflies are seen in the area.
    The sight of thousands of fireflies glowing in the dark is a sight to behold!
    Fireflies called Kajawa in Marathi and Jugnu in Hindi emit light in various patterns.

     

    CAMPING-
